Lyle, Lyle Crocodile and Friends: The Art of Bernard Waber is the first major exhibition to explore the life and career of children’s book writer and illustrator, Bernard Waber (1921-2013). Through over 90 original illustrations and other artifacts, including newly discovered sketches and manuscripts, the exhibit explores the whimsical and emotionally resonant world Waber created in a long career that spanned more than 30 picture books, including the much loved Lyle, Lyle Crocodile stories.
