Each spring the Overbrook Farms Open House Tour and Tea offers visitors a peek inside of magnificent buildings in this celebrated community. From extraordinary private homes to notable historic churches, the self guided walking tour acquaints visitors with the outstanding architecture of this planned turn-of-the-century railroad suburb.
This event features a formal tea held at Ivy Hall, an elegant Georgian Revival style mansion with paired chimneys, Palladian windows, and a grand ballroom.

Amazing design and engineering! (Video)
I saw this video segment on the TODAY SHOW. Barbara Corcoran’s tips are a dose of common sense. My favorite tip here is “doll up the front door” because it’s the 1st impression, and you want to make it count.
Sadly, so many people ignore this. Be honest, when you look at the front of your house, what is your 1st impression?
I saw a great tip from Nate Berkus on adding a sentimental touch to your home space.
As you look around your house your eye should rest upon things that evoke pleasant memories. One idea is to frame favorite handwritten notes or cards received from friends and family. Making use of picture frames you may have had tucked away in drawers or closets this way, will also solve the problem of finding the time to “eventually” fill them with pictures!
