Each  spring the Overbrook Farms Open House Tour and Tea offers visitors a peek  inside of magnificent buildings in this celebrated community. From  extraordinary private homes to notable historic churches, the self guided  walking tour acquaints visitors with the outstanding architecture of this  planned turn-of-the-century railroad suburb.

This event features a formal tea  held at Ivy Hall, an elegant   Georgian Revival   style mansion with paired chimneys,  Palladian windows, and a grand ballroom.

I saw this video segment on the TODAY SHOW. Barbara Corcoran’s tips are a dose of common sense. My favorite tip here is “doll up the front door” because it’s the 1st impression, and you want to make it count.

I saw a great tip from Nate Berkus on adding a sentimental touch to your home space.

As you look around your house your eye should rest upon things that evoke pleasant memories. One idea is to frame favorite handwritten notes or cards received from friends and family. Making use of picture frames you may have had tucked away in drawers or closets this way, will also solve the problem of finding the time to “eventually” fill them with pictures!
