May 4, 2017 Program – The Garden as Ecosystem

Thursday, May 4, 2107, at 7:15 p.m. Narberth Borough Building, 100 Conway Avenue, Narberth, Pa., 19072, use Haverford Ave. entrance. Free for members; visitors welcome with $6. admission. Kenneth D. Frank will show the Narberth Area Garden Club how managing a garden as an ecosystem can serve the plants and the planet and can also bring us pleasure. As a retired physician living in downtown Philadelphia, this longtime natural science enthusiast found time to observe, study, and photograph natural history within walking distance of his home, gaining insights into urban ecology and recounting them in a fascinating book, Ecology of Center City, Philadelphia. This will be a terrific program. Come and bring a friend!
