Welcoming a Summer Break From the ‘Rug-Rat Race’

Maybe it’s just me. But as we wrap up the school year, the person most excited about summer vacation in our family is not either of the children. It’s their mother, finally free from the unrelenting demands of the school-year calendar.
The school part of school is manageable for us. We’re lucky in a million ways, I know, but my children are both strong students and they don’t have much homework.
